PMDG product support

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just to share with you the product support quality for tha software in subject.

On 30th of September I asked support in order to understand the offset I had to use for the auto brake indicator. After 5 days they answered me that the developer (Alex) that takes care of this software is full and cannot reply me. After 25 days no answer...

I spent a whole weekend to try different values and I found it.

Thanks PMDG support, please write on your site that the (high) price paid for the software does not include support.

Regards,

Marco

AVSIM hosts many payware and freeware forums like PMDG's but does not provide product support so you should post your complimentary comments in the PMDG General Forum.  I'm sure they would appreciate your kind comments.

Best regards,

Jim

25 days is a little long. However, understand PMDG is balls to the wall in 747 v2 development.

Regardless, this generation of folks demanding instant resolutions irritates me to no end.

25 days is nothing compared to getting support from the developer of VoxATC.

Jim,

you might want to read Marco's post again... it is anything BUT complimentary...

Perhaps you could move it to the PMDG forum for him? He is bound to get an answer from one of the team...

AVSIM does not move topics relating to PMDG to the PMDG forums.  Once posted in AVSIM Forums, they remain in AVSIM Forums.  He will have to post his "rant" in the PMDG forums or submit a trouble ticket at the PMDG website.  If he doesn't want to, then that's fine.  AVSIM only hosts PMDG support forums and we have nothing whatsoever to do with their support.  Thanks for bringing to my attention though!!

Best regards,

Jim

Did you bother to look through the SDK, Marco?  The Offsets are CLEARLY listed in the header file, which is referenced numerous times in the SDK documentation.  If you're referring to FSUIPC, that's not directly supported by PMDG; however, there's CLEAR documentation available for those offsets as well.   Moreover, how does buying software entitle you to developers support?  Said support is typically beyond the normal support provided by software distributors...that's why there's an SDK.  If I'm PMDG, I'm probably putting your request on the back-burner too....
