"I think there's more than one (1) religion in thisUniverse, some tolerant - some not??Whats thanks giving day???"True, but Thanksgiving day is more an American holiday than a religious one (google pilgrims and feast). Regardless, it's good to have a day where you get together with family and friends and reflect on what you have and not what you don't.I for one am thankful for AVSIM and this community, cheers everyone!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

Nothing to do with religion. It's the American 'harvest festival' celebrations - originally something that the Native Americans did and was adopted by European settlers. Supposedly the first official one was in 1621 and the Pilgrim Fathers, but I believe the tradition goes back earlier.Ian

What ever the reason ,its a great day! For many, it reaffirms the family as the prime unit. It also includes all who made it thru a tough year! Yer probably right however, being thankful goes way back a long way,Probably, we were thankful that the sabretooth tiger did not eat us last nite. Of course, we eat the turkey, his small sacrifice for our pleasure shall not go unnoticed today "CHEERS TO THE TURKEY!" and the "BEST TO YOU AND YOURS!" VIN;-)
