Restart Engine Issue P3D 2.5

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen,

an issue occur to me when using PMDG 777 within P3D2.5

I start the Simulator by choosing the Lookheed Raptor (Default). Engines running. Then I Switch to the 777 engines running.

connecting ground power or APU then shutdown engines for gate duties.

When preparing for departure I start the engines as normal for the 777. They behave normal when spooling up to idle.

At idle the sound in General is a bit less noisy. On outside view you can see engines turning fine.

Then i advance the levers for taxi and nothing happens. N1 stay fix at idle thrust (some 22% N1) and I can do nothing.

Shutting down and restart somtimes result in one engine to work but not logical and no guaranty to fix it.

I have searched for some threads that maybe can help but either deleting FSUIPC.ini for rebuild nor deleting some

standard key assignments in the sim can fix it.

Has anyone of you an idea what's going on here and how to fix.

Thank you in advance

Andreas,

This could be your issue. For PMDG aircraft it's best not to load any aircraft first but to start from the startup screen. If your P3D isn't set up to do this, go to settings > general and check the "Show Scenario Startup Screen" box. Then exit the sim. Next time you start P3D, the startup screen will come up. From there, choose the PMDG 777. This should minimize some of the issues you're having.

Hope this helps.

Gentlemen,

thank you for your help.

I'm back now from Business trip and will try to go through your hints

during the Weekend and look if I can solve it.

I let you know how it works.

Best regards

Dears,

I've done the following steps.

Step 1. Checking newest vrsion of PMDG. It's 7052

Step 2.Load aircraft without having default aircraft from intial sreen.

Step 3.Reinstall simconnect as described.

Step 4.Not forseen in P3D v2.5

As a result no change at all. It is as it is. No standard engine start within the 777 will work when engines where shutdown before. Even from cold and dark is the same.

Again the spool-up sequence sound in the cockpit is fine. But going to idle it seems extremly quite. More or less like engines off.

Outside view and sound should be OK. Engines turning.

I can see on the EICAS when advancing the thrust levers that the simulation recognize the lever movement.

At some tries I had success for one engine slightly movimg the Lever when start-up sequence is reaching idle.

But it isn't repeatable.

What makes me confused is that the 777 works fine before. I have performed some flights and everything works fine.

I'm asking myself what went wrong causing it.

Meanwhile I have reinstalled the 777 but is still the same.

To be honest I have no idea.

Thanks again.

Kind regards

Andreas

Dears,

adding one observation.

The during engine start N1 spools up to only 21.6-21.7% than it stops.

Than i advance the thrust lever and if the thrust advance also I go back to idle again the thrust is some 22.8%.

Maybe the start sequence is not complete.

This works only when engine response normal. But again I cannot repeat it. It happens by accident.

Kind regards

Andreas

THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!

To make a long story short it was "homemade".

Stupid and tricky at the same time. (That's the characteristic of homemade problems) :fool:

Topic: Button control interaction P3D and PMDG777 fuel valve.

Sorry that you have waste your time. Thank you for your help.

Have a nice day

Kind regards

Andreas

Never a waste of time when you report the solution. I'm sure you'll help someone else down the road.
