MilViz sounds, are they external to the sim?

Hi, I just bought the MilViz T-38 advancedd and love it. However, no matter what I set my P3D sound slider to for engines it's way too quiet in the cockpit. I have seen a lot of YT's and their sound seems to be fine.

 

In one YT I saw he mentioned that the sound is contolled externally of the sim. How do I access this?

 

I have P3D 3.2

Windows 7/64

High end machine.

Creative Soundblaster Z SBX.

 

Thanks for any help at all.

 

This is the only plane that does this.
