Stunningly realistic sunset in FSX

Recommended Posts

Once again, just like my previous uploads, the only thing I've edited in is the lens flare.

These are my own custom-made sky textures that I am constantly tweaking around to achieve the most realistic colours and gradients. I also use Mogwaisoft Shade for customised lighting (shadow/light/fog) colours.

Super realistic indeed. Would be nice to see them without the edited lens flare.

You cheated.  You used a camera.  Kidding.  Stunning.

Those sunsets sure do look great. I wish we could get them that way within the sim.

What do you mean? Those are from the sim.

If you play with lens flare effect in FSX, you can actually achieve something not so far from that.

Problem is... what works for sunrise / sunset usually doesn't works well for midday, and vice-versa...
