FTX Downloads Limited to One Product Per Day

JV has just stated:

"So let me clarify and perhaps summarise this topic and we can move on.
1. The only thing that has been limited to one (1) download per day is the manual download function:
2. You can still install as much products as you like through FTX Central 3 - no limits, no caps - that has not changed

Finally  some  one  has  made  sense of  the panic  in here

In short: whole lotta fuzz about absolutely nothing. A lot of flightsimmer have a tendency to not read well and panic too soon. ;) Although I have to add JV didn't communicate things very clearly. For which he btw apologized. Annywa, I absolutely love FTXC3 and the way things are going now. It's perfect and exactly what I (and afaik most simmers) always wanted.

"Bump: Following internal team discussions we have increased the daily limit for the manual downloads from one to five (5) per day."

What happened to AVSIM

They had a problem

They moved to minimise it

The comms were a bit flaky initially

People got upset over the 1 a day limit

They listened

They acted (in a day)

They apologised for the poor comms

Fine by me, lets move on, despite the initial hiccups comms-wise this is actually a pretty good and quick resolution :)

Let me guess.... you want 64bit.

Now, they need to sort out the download speeds [for some, including me :( ]  I have yet to manage to install any of a few areas which I have not yet used in P3D.  120 - 250 Kb/s  - awful.  PNW install time is 2 to 9 Hours  :(   Regards.

They are aware of that and they say they work on it. Also their servers have been hugely hammered these recent days by people redownloading everything they have (no need for that if your sceneries are already installed).

A tip which may work (or not...) try to select the CDN option in FTXc3

Thanks for the response.  I am aware of the issue contained within JV's latest email shot.  I have tried different server/time of day with little success.  Upping the download count to 5 daily will probably mean the servers will continue to be loaded for some time yet to come.  I took ORBX at face value and transferred on day 1.  I will try to be patient and hope that I can get something down soon Regards.
