dark planes at mega airports at night

At airports as LFMN or KJFK there are powerfull lighting towers at night ment to illuminate the environment.

My own 320 as other airliners too, remain rather dark when moving on the tarmac (only tail section is lit - plane is black)

Any advice to lighten things up a bit ?  HDR makes no difference on taxiing planes.

Planes moving to the gates are suposed to be  lighted by gigantic light masts, no ?

The lights on these poles at airports don't actually cast light that illuminates objects. Same as in FSX. Nothing you can really do about it as its by design. However some Addon aircraft like PMDG and some others actually have landing lights and other lights that cast lights onto objects. My guess is that if scenery developers modeled their airport lights to actually illuminate objects it might cost to much in terms of performance.
