Activation Request

Recommended Posts

Every time I select the 737 I am asked for the activation code.  Is this normal?  It is just one more step, but I would think a one-time activation would suffice.

If it's asking you each time, then something is wrong with your FlexNet installation.

Start > type "services.msc " (no quotes) and hit Enter > find "FlexNet" in the list and ensure that it is set to start manually

It is set to start manually.  Any other ideas?

I have found that (for some strange reason on my new installation of Windows on my latest PC), that if I install the base and the add-on, and I activate the add-on without activating the base package first, it keeps asking me for the activation code every time as well.

Worth a look maybe?

Sounds more like you're using the wrong code for the product you're trying to activate. The expansion will not let you activate the expansion if the base package is not activated yet. This is, of course, unless you're doing something odd, like attempting to activate the expansion with the base package's activation code.

No used the right code, but I have noticed that you cannot activate the expansion without activating the base first, which for some reason, if normal, wasn't the case in the past.   I could activate either/or and it worked.   But then again, remember I am the only one that also only later experienced the moving picture on the HGS which was normal for everyone else, so yeah.   Maybe I just had a funky, weird-a$$ setup earlier lol.

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up!

Regards
