v 0.1.68 Automatic detection and resolving of problematic views Explanation please

Recommended Posts

Hi

In v 0.1.68 there was a notification once I loaded up the pmdg 777 saying that I need to restart my sim because Chaseplane did some changes to resolve problematic cameras. What does chaseplane exactly do? If the aircraft.cfg gets touched does chaseplane restore it to default once I uninstalled it?

ChasePlane removes Hotkeyselect from custom Camera Definitions in the aircraft's cfg file.

ChasePlane puts them back when uninstalled (they are only commented)

Each flight using 'Chase Plane' has ended with a 'fatal error' - expected, perhaps, with an alpha however today it took less than ten minutes. All flights seem to start with stuttering which smooths out after a minute or less but today the stuttering become severe vibrations. Disabling "enable Global" cured it instantly but, as soon as I used any function (keyboard/joystick), "Global" re-enabled and the vibration resumed. As I said not much more of this and it went 'fatal error'. Version 1.68a

Another flight - previous symptoms are gone. Didn't end with a 'fatal'. Be glad when we're done with 'Alpha'.

Does chaseplane only remove the double slashes or does it replace the cfg with a backup? Because I fear that when I add a livery to my aircraft.cfg file and I uninstall chaseplane my changes will be gone due to cp trying to restore the file to its original state before the install of the appliccation.

I've noticed that the RealAir Turbine Duke may need to invoke "resolving of problematic views" or something similar.

In all but the primary (pilot's) view I can pan left/right and/or zoom in/out using the POV hat switch. While the presets work fine in any view, nothing happens when I try the hat switch while in the initial preset (pilot, in this case) view.

BTW, the hat switch works as intended with all other aircraft I've set up with ChasePlane. Just not the Turbine Duke.
