Quick noon question... stars? My night sky is pitch black and completely void of stars. Is that the way XP is? There doesn'the seem to be any ground illumination either. If there's no lights, it's instruments only for which way is up.

XP10 has stars at night and I'm not seeing it in the XP11 Beta, so I assume they're just not in yet.

As for ground illumination or moonlight... XP10 never did model what you might see with night-adapted vision from a dark cockpit. So I'm not expecting much here either. Although it would be nice to see a good moonlight effect at some point in this sim. At least we should get stars when the v11 goes final.

XP 10 skymap got all stretched out when you use widescreen or multi monitor. I'm guessing they are trying to fix it. reported that bug over 3 yrs ago

You're gonna have to clarify the "says no" part before anyone can help you :)

I also get the Win 10  "This app cant run on this PC"  problem when trying to run the installer.  Changing compatibilty mode to win 7 or 8 doesnt fix it .

Still personal experiments with clouds. This is default weather engine, only tweaked datarefs and textures. Both cirri and few cumuli. There is hope to have improved clouds!

Looking good. Feel free to share :D

same exact issue that Garys is having....

I think even parts of Australia are missing in the scenery download, like Sydney , i downloaded Australia , so like Alaska the South-Pacific is missing parts this version due to the size of the whole install. I really like the terrain now though.

One amazing feature of the map is one can watch the real time placement of the aircraft but again the map area seems to be limited.

Can anyone confirm the PNW area and the area of Vancouver is OK ? I am getting water and I think i have the tiles downloaded.

I didn't find how to place my aircraft at a given altitude.

In the previous versions one could place the aircraft by geographical coordinates ( Lat / Lon ) and altitude ( and speed and heading too ). How can this ( if it can ) be done in XP11 ?

Tried the new ATC system. Very easy to use and I like it!

Also tried the default AS-K21 and really liked the feel - somehow I think it has new inertia ?

What about thermals ? ridge lift ?

How the heck are your controls working ? NOT POSSIBLE

The Seatraffic plugin is not showing up in the PLugins Menu. Hmm maybe a Python issue

Well, the controls were all working 5 minutes after installing the demo. It includes the T1600, the HOTAS component of an old broken X-52, and the Saitek Combat Rudder pedals.

Only problem I had the first time I picked an aircraft to fly in XP11 ( the C90 ) was that huge left rolling tendency. I thought to myself that Austin was using a pre-torque-fix FDM, but after landing and looking at the virtual yoke I found it was considerably deflected left. It turned out to be that proper callibration IS required for each controller.

Caliberating works but they don't inside the aircraft.

Bought it yesterday and like it so far.

Using XP 10 simultaneously and have one question:

I'd like to have separate NVIDIA profiles for XP 10 and 11. At the moment all settings apply to XP 10 and 11. I guess the problem is the .exe file of XP which in both cases (XP 10+11) is called X-Plane.exe so NVIDIA profiler recognizes this as one profile.

Is there a way to get separate profiles so I can mess with XP 11 settings without affecting my XP 10 install?

Hmmm, did you try renaming X-Plane.exe to X-Plane-10.exe and X-Plane-11.exe and then chose within NI the application to affect, removing the previous one from there ?
