Need help

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased 737NGX Captains Reboot for P3, and have the default 737 installed. I've run the setup wizard, have the icon on my desktop and enabled FS2Crew. However, when I open P3 its nowhere to be found. I've tried installing multiple times and have completely deleted antivirus software, with no luck.

I have also purchased the Airbus A319 from FS2Crew and was able to install that successfully. Have only 1 problem, I'm unable to manually set the autopilot. Using the mouse I can see that the button is being pushed for the Airspeed, Heading, and Altitude, but I'm unable to change the #'s. Tried left and right clicking.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Hello,

The Fs2crew reboot is for the PMDG 737 NGX and doesn't work with the default fsx 737. So it's normal you cannot find anything when you start the default 737.

but I'm unable to change the #'s

What do you mean by #'s ?

Hello,

Autofeather arm/off is a assignable key in the fsx commands menu. You should really have a look at the manuals and tutorials as Bryan said, they explain with screenshots what to do.

This is getting seriously frustrating. Maybe I'm not explaining this very well. I assumed when I downloaded the program it would show it in "Vehicles" on the P3D screen or somewhere in P3D?? But I don't. I assigned the Autofeather a keyboard assignment, but I'm confused on how that helps since I can't find the program to begin with. I have read the manual.

Hi,

Fs2crew is link to the NGX.

So what you won't find the program externally anywhere. What you have to do is start P3D, launch a flight with the NGX and then, if you press the key assigned to autofeather arm/off, you will see a popup panel appears which is the Fs2crew main panel.

This is why we send you to check if you have assign a key to that feature in the P3D menu.

Now, if when you press that key while you are in the cockpit of the NGX, chances are that the panel.cfg of the NGX have not been correctly updated for some reason, that's why I gave references to other topics were we exchanged on that matter.

Send me your panel.cfg by pm, I'm gonna check it for you if you want.

Romain is right.

FS2Crew is literally "embedded" directly inside the PMDG 737.

Therefore, it will not appear as a "vehicle" because it's not its own vehicle.  Rather, it's physically a part of the PMDG 737 in this case.

Here's a Froogle video that might help you... but the SOP manuals are really a must.

Hi,

The text file "panel" is the panel.cfg. Only the extension is hidden as a Windows option.

In this file that you can open with the block note, you should find the following lines:

[Window Titles]

...

window20=FS2Crew Main Panel
window21=FS2Crew Secondary Panel

And lower in the file, you should the corresponding definitions of these windows:

[Window20]

window_size= 0.5567, 0.0425
window_pos=0.00,0.05
visible=0

zorder=100
sizeable=1
gauge00=FS2Crew2010\Versions\PMDG737NGXRB\Gauges\FS2CrewNGXRB!FS2Crew_MainPanel, 0,0,1069,51
gauge01=FS2Crew2010\Versions\PMDG737NGXRB\Gauges\FS2CrewNGXRB!FS2Crew_Audio, 20,20,5,5
gauge02=FS2Crew2010\Versions\PMDG737NGXRB\Gauges\FS2CrewNGXRB!FS2Crew_VoiceMain, 10,10,5,5

[Window21]

window_size= 0.2093, 0.5325

sizeable=1
gauge00=FS2Crew2010\Versions\PMDG737NGXRB\Gauges\FS2CrewNGXRB!FS2Crew_SecondaryPanel, 0,0,402,639

Can you check that?

Yes. It is in the "panel" file, isn't it?

So it looks fine.

If you launch a flight with the NGX and press the key you have assigned to Autofeather arm/off, then you should see the Fs2crew main panel popping up.
