Fsx config rebuild question

Recommended Posts

Question from a non- techie? After installing Windows 10 FSX is crashing on a regular basis. On this forum it was suggested to move the cfg file to temp folder, restart fsx and allow it to rebuild the cfg file. My question - will this move effect my airplane, scenery and weather addons? If this procedure will not work I guess it's on to fsx steam edition for me. Thanks in advance for any replies.

It might affect some addons if your settings needed to be changed when that addon was installed.  Luckily, by saving

your current .cfg, you can just put it back and delete the newly created one.

Was this a Win 10 upgrade?

If so, from what Win to what Win 10?
