Straight Outta Dublin! - X-Plane 11

Recommended Posts

I am using Aerosoft Dublin which works well except for strange squares around some airport lights at night. Fantastic immersion in this sim. If you are on the fence with X-Plane 11, hit the buy button.

Getting tougher to hold out from buying it.

But I've got a lot going on right now and I really want to wait until the first stable release.

+1

I have a ton of add-ons for P3D and I am really happy with it. But this does look promising too. Arrrgh

By waiting Pug, you are missing out.  As it is, right now...it's killer..let alone when the RTM gets released!

My advice, especially for those who have a fully-fledged P3D installation (with many add-ons), is to wait.

It is the first public beta, and for now you can expect several bugs and a few "unpolished" features that will be improved in the near future.

If you want to buy X-Plane 11 and expect to have in a week, or a month, a 100% polished product, with all the features you're currently using on P3D or FSX, then you risk becoming disappointed.

It will take at least a few months before it will be in a more polished, out of Beta state, and probably by that time there will also be a lot more add-ons ported over from X-Plane 10 (or some completely new).

On the other hand, if you're willing to enjoy what it already has to offer now, knowing that it will steadily improve over the next months, then you can also go ahead and buy it right now. In any case, the demo is always available and highly recommended before buying it.

I think your advice is quite valid
