12GB ram not enough for XP11 ?

Recommended Posts

12 GB's of system RAM is totally adequate. I run XP10 and 11 full out.

I only have (max for my motherboard) 12 GB's of system RAM, and always, fully max'ed in any XP scene, I still have just under 4GB's of system RAM left and unused.

On my 8GB graphics card, I have just over 3 GB's as free VRAM.

But yes...12 GB's will do you just fine!

I guess the 4GB VRAM on my GTX 980 is the main problem when I first had the settings too high. Plus, the thread optimization in Nividia driver slaughtered the fps.

XP11 is driving me nuts now about upgrading my system asap. I'm worrying about when 1080 ti is actually going to be available. I know it'll be announced in early January, but who knows when will it be actually available for purchase. I just checked Titan X pascal is still selling at >$1600, totally insane..
