Instruments software list

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My cockpit is set up with 3 screen:

- 1 big TV for the external view on my main computer with x-plane running

- 1 19" monitor with my instruments on a second computer

- 1 small screen for my GNS530 display.

I have been trying out several solution to display the intruments and GNS530 on seperate screen, this is the list of what I found so fare that allows this:

For the Instruments:

- FTS: http://www.flythissim.com/

- Project Magenta: http://www.projectmagenta.com/

- XHSI: http://xhsi.sourceforge.net/

- SimVim : http://svglobe.com/panel/panel_demo.html

- Panel Builder : https://www.simplugins.com/html/x-plane.html

For the stand alone GNS530:

- FTS: http://www.flythissim.com/

- Reality XP: http://www.reality-xp.com/

Please could you all complete the list with all other solution / software you know about allowing this.

Also I have never tryed to simply edit a panel in x-plane panel (in plane maker) to display on on screen all instruments and on the other one the external view, have you ever tryed this, would it work on two computers.

Thanks

Ian

Regarding the GNS530 -

XP11 allows you to 'undock' and display popup instruments on a second monitor. It's not going to be the solution for your other instruments, but it does work very well with the GNS530.

I'm having a similar setup using 2nd monitor for panel display and is trying to find a software dedicated for instrument display. Interested to know what you will decided on eventually.

Hi

About x-plane 11 GNS530:

Yes I have managed to window it but:

If I plug in two monitors to my computer I cannot window it

If I plug in only one monitor to my computer I can window it

I have no idea why , but its creasy because with one window there is no point to window it.

I have filled a bug report hopefuly this will be better in a next release.
