Cannot execute full autoland at LIML...not sure what i am missing

You mean to tell me that the Collins MCP does not IDENT the Localizer data in the upper left of the PFD ?

Hi Andrea,

I haven't got PD3 just FSX but as others have said it'd be a frequency problem. Have you checked if tuning the "old" 110.30 ILS frequency (old course 356°)?

Anyway updating your radio aids freqs is paramount.

ALF, both Honeywell and Collins aircraft will auto ident and show the ident and ILS DME in the top left, but careful of the DME as this is not necessarily the correct one! (It's a gotcha on the 737).

 

The difference is the Collins aircraft would be later ones. To give the LNAV/VNAV RNP data on the top to mimic the ILS the aircraft would need IAN. To my knowledge, IAN was only introduced after the Collins MCP became fitted as standard.

 

If you have Honeywell, (basically an updated Sperry SP300) then you won't have IAN. 

 

Not that any two real aircraft are the same....
