Anyone have success using Saitek Cessna Trim Wheel w/ PMDG NGX?

Recommended Posts

It's working now w/ other aircraft in my hangar but when I use the NGX the trim wheel on the NGX just wants to move only in one direction.  I had calibrated the Cessna trim wheel using FSUIPC and it works great on other aircraft.

Thanks in advance for your insights.

Hi Noel,

I am getting the same effect on the Ngx with the Saitek trim wheel. Not sure what to do to correct this but I am using the mouse to move  the wheel now. I usually fly with a flight plan in the fms & only have to move the wheel prior to takeoff & when landing manually.

Same here and I'm pretty sure it worked at one point but I might be wrong. Spent ages trying everything I could think of. Ended up mapping trim to the switches on the yoke. More accurate like that anyway.

OK thanks all I'll leave it be.  I was happy to learn the trim wheel works fine w/ other aircraft because over a year ago I learned there was a conflict between I think the Saitek driver and the mouse so stopped using the trim wheel for any flying.  I had a new install since then so just for the heck of it I thought I'd connect the wheel w/o the driver and sure enough worked fine w/ other aircraft.   I will just keep using one of the Saitek Yoke's 3 rocker switches for electric trim wheel and it works fine too.

Cheers n Thanks
