Cockpit Display

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am on my way to built a jet cockpit, probably for the F1 Mustang.
Regarding PFD and MFD (for G1000), I wonder wether there is a way to crop the view of the undocked  2D instruments? Like the picture below:
F1.PNG
Many thx in advance for your answers.

All the best

I forget the details but this is what I have for cropping the bezels off my RXP GPS. It's the numbers in the last line that are significant. These look like the origin (x,y) and size (dx, dy) of the rectangle you want to clip.

Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for your help.

I manage to identify the right parameters on the panel.cfg file to do that.

For those who might be interested in doing that with the Flight1 Mustang, please find below the syntax for my PFD:

[Window12]
Background_color=0,0,0
//size_mm=1000,657 //Original with G1000 Frame
size_mm=726,557 //Borderless
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=0
visible=0
ident=120
window_size= 0.680, 0.596
window_pos= 0.133, 0.407
zorder=4

//gauge00=Flight1_GarminG1000_510!GDU1040,  0,0,1000,657,PFD.POP.120.//Original with G1000 Frame
gauge00=Flight1_GarminG1000_510!GDU1040,  -140,-40,1000,657,PFD.POP.120. //Borderless
gauge01=flight1_mustang!g1000pfd_large,  144,39,712,547

Hi there,

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to do that with the Carenado Phenom100 (see the panel.cfg quote below).
Any idea Mark?

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window00]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1400,969
position=6
visible=0
ident=MAIN_PANEL

window_size=0.495, 0.61

no_luminous=1

window_pos=  0.000,  0.370

gauge00=EMB500_G1000!G1000_configEMBP100,         0,0,   1,  1
gauge01=EMB500_G1000!G1000_PFDEMBP100,            0,0,1400, 969
gauge02=EMB500CAR!ToggleCARG1000,           180,0,1000,  64

Sorry no, I was just regurgitating something I leeched from somewhere else in the distant past :)  But what I can tell you is that the meaning of all the fields in those cfg files is described in detail in the SDK documentation. Start here. Good luck ;)

Thanks for the link Mark.

I guess I found where the issue is: To crop these kind of view the only way I found is to put negative values for X and Y positions. However negative values seem to be only handled by C++ gauges and not by the Xml ones.

If specialists can tell us more I would appreciate that. Else if anyonelse know a way to crop/clip these kind of screen views it would be awesome.

Best Regards.
