Does Panel Builder support FSX-SE

Recommended Posts

I'm currently using FSX-SE. I'm considering building a flight panel that I can use to fly the A2-172. Question 4 in running Panel Builder seams to suggested it does, nothing in the history confirms it. What's not clear to me is whether I can use Panel Builder or Panel Builder  EFIS. Does it supports the Steam version. My goal is to run FSX_SE on one computer. Panels on a second computer, using buttons and toggles for input with FSUIPS support. As I understand it, if supports Steam,  I would need Panel Builder  EFIS (because of the GPS) and the A2A 172. Would I also need the Steam Gauge add on.

Yes, you can use FSX SE, but you need to install the simconnect component as it is not installed by FSX SE. Here is a link to our FAQ:

No, you don't need the Steam Gauges add-on. The A2A C172 Add-on has all the C172 Instruments.

Note that EFIS Panel Builder only has a basic moving map, not an actual GPS. You could alternatively buy Panel Builder (the 'steam' gauges version) and then add our MFD GPS Add-on that has much more functionality, see here: https://www.simplugins.com/html/mfd_gps.html
