I am looking to run prepar3d, fsx steam and possibly xplane 11 in the future. ( I will run the sim with asn, rex, orbx fsdt dreamteam airports, pmdg planes and a2a planes.)

You have outlined a very good high end system! About the only thing I can say is that I would go for Win 10 Pro rather than the Home Edition. Networking machines or any other net workable device like an I Pad etc., is much more straight forward With the Pro Edition. You can, with Navigraph, display en-route, terminal, charts etc , on it while flying. Little Nav Data is free and it works! I use Aivlasoft EFB on two computers for example.

My machine is getting a bit long in the tooth too. I can however still fly my PMDG aircraft fairly well. I am now looking at AMD's new ZEN CPU and Summit ridge Chip-set.  AMD's latest RX-480 tops out at $300.00 for the most expensive I can find on NEGG. The RX-490 is due. The RX-480 is as or nearly as fast as the GTX. The big difference is in the price. AMD's new chip-set supports PCI 3.0/01/02 whatever the latest.  Both the RX-480 and 490 are VR ready and Hard OCP's site see's no big difference between the 480 and the high end GTX. M.2 is supported. If you have no machine then go for your outline, if you can hold off you may save a ton of money? It's worth checking out. I remember well when the AMD Athlon arrived and blew everything away, big time! Looking at the architecture and other aspects of the design it should be a killer CPU. Jim Keller was the design chief, say's a lot!

Good Luck
