Recommended Posts

Just checking to find out what information is needed. For instance  should I post the report from appcrashview here.

Any help will be appreciated

That would be great!  Also your system specs, and link to your FSX or Prepared CFG file would help (a link, rather than copy and pasting the whole thing in a post).

Agree with Dave but mid-flight and end of flight crashes will usually show the ntdll.dll error due to lack of Virtual Address Space (VAS).  High settings will deplete the VAS faster than normal.

The AVSIM CTD Guide provides guidance for submitting an AppCrashView report here and/or Event Viewer report.

Best regards,

Jim

There is no way to send a link.  Are you saying you do not know how to copy and paste?  Not a problem.  Check out the following link - http://www.wikihow.com/Copy-and-Paste

If you still cannot copy and paste, look at the upper pane of AppCrashView.  You should see something like the following:

Prepar3D.exe    Stopped working    12/7/2016 9:06:45 AM    0xc0000005    0x0002e49b    ntdll.dll    6.1.7601.23569    K:\Prepar3D_v3\Prepar3D.exe    34,836    C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_Prepar3D.exe_5e3a6d2ad5bfa5793e08849d92910204d78cd49_13cff172\Report.wer

We are interested in the faulting module.  In my example above, it is the ntdll.dll.  You can right click on this line and select "copy selected item" then come to your post here at AVSIM and right click anywhere in the post and select, Paste.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jim

Jim, thanks for your reply. I do know how to copy and paste, the problem is when I try to paste and right click in the reply to topic where I'm typing now the Paste option is always grayed out, even when I select the Paste or Paste as Plane Text options.

The fault module name is g3d.dll

Computer Specs
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Processor i7-6700 @ 3.00GHz
Installed Physical Memory 8.00GB
Graphics GTX 970 4GB

FSX. Acceleration (boxed)

Any help will be appreciated

Regards
Ray

The AVSIM CTD Guide provides the solution for 98.7% of all g3d.dll errors.  The developer of the FSUIPC.dll set up a trap to catch g3d.dll errors so, if you install the payware or freeware version, it should fix the problem.

Best regards,

Jim
