DC-3 for X-Plane

Recommended Posts

I really want to get the DC-3 by Leading Edge but wonder if X-Aviation ever has Christmas sales like Carenado and Just Flight both have going on?

I too am looking for a good DC3 to use in XP11.  Does the DC3 at X_Aviation work in XP11?

I purchased it. It works ok in XP11 without any tweaks. However, there some anomalies in ground behaviour that developers promised to look at (time permitting)

I'll pick it up soon - which means it will go on sale the day after!

the last info i have regarding leading edge products is that they will provide basic compability for xp11 for free, and provide a upgrade version (new textures etc.) at an upgrade price.

So getting it in a sale now will definately be the cheapest version.

Yes they do, you just missed one in fact, they had the Black Friday sales not too long ago. They will probably have one for Christmas/New year too.

It's a great model. The antique autopilot takes some getting used to, and the fuel selector is a little buggy (not a problem if you fly just on the main tanks). One of my favorite X-Plane models.

I'm looking forward to an eventual v11 version with bare metal liveries. That will look soooo good with pbr reflections. The DC-3 was made to fly nekkid.

Thanks. The DC3 is actually the first plane I ever flew on in 1953.

DC-6 was my first.  Flew from Columbus, Ohio to Newark via Washington, DC.  I was staring at the flight deck during the stop in Washington and the crew let me go up and see it!   My brother who is two years younger got to fly before me and was on a DC-3 in the late 50's.
