X-Plane Panel Emulation

Recommended Posts

So apologies up front for this long noob post and if it's in the wrong forum-- I tried searching and the amount of material is simply overwhelming to easily weed through.  With that disclaimer out of the way, please bear with me while I provide a bit of setup for my questions.  I'm an instrument rated private pilot and I'm thinking about putting together a one maybe 2-screen sim to practice instrument procedures using x-plane --nothing cosmic about that.  Where it gets complex is I'd like to emulate the avionics in my own plane (an RV-10)  to the max extent possible. I have a 2-screen Garmin G3X EFIS with a 2-axis TruTrak auto pilot coupled to a GTN 650.  I realize that with exception of the GTN, there will most likely never be emulation of my EFIS or autopilot.  For those unfamiliar with the G3X think non-certificated Garmin G600.  My panel basically gives me the same capability of a G1000 but with less integration which translates into more button pushing to accomplish a given task, plus the buttonology is similar but not exactly the same.  That's why I'd prefer not to simply select an aircraft model with a G1000, although it might end up being the easiest solution.

So finally here's my questions.

1.  Has anyone with the simPlugins EFIS Panel builder with an autopliot integrated the RealtiyXP GTNs into their panel?

2.  Are there any aircraft models available (HP piston single preferably but it's not a showstopper based upon my intended use) that have emulated a G500/600 coupled to an autopilot?

3.  Any suggestions as to how to skin this cat?

Thanks,

Todd

Todd, should you wait a little more, we've announced we will release a Garmin G500/600 in addition to the already released GTN 650 and GTN 750, and our upcoming (few days) GNS 430 and GNS 530.

Jean-Luc,

That's perfect!  I'm in no rush as I don't even have my new computer yet.

Will you make a stand alone GTN 650/750 etc that I can run from a second computer through network? I'm running AirManager on a second computer with touch screen exclusively for panels and like the setup very well. But AM doesn't have any complex panels.
