ortho4xp: no autogen and roads

I got it working - just a newbie error, didn't have a check box checked....onto redoing the tiles, but running them through v1.30 - pretty awesome stuff!

Hi all, 

Very new to ortho4xp and im sorry to dig up this thread again but im having issues with my overlays. Roads are showing but there are not cars, wind turbines, or large Masts. I think it might be to do with my layout in the ini folder but im not sure. I bought some Orbx and that portion works perfectly, but the rest of the ortho4xp does not. Below is the layout of my folder. Could someone tell me if it's in the right order or help me get it into the right order please.

i dont see overlays in my downloads. I guess ill have to start again 😞

Extracting overlays is a separate step that can be run in via tile collection window. No need to start again.

thanks, I just deleted everything and started again.  In ortho4xp i clicked on extract overlays etc and added them all to my custom scenery. The overlays are inside the Ortho4XP folders, within the Terrain folder. Below is my ini file:

So inside each of the highlighted folders above lies the overlays. Should i move out the overlays?

That won't work. All extracted overlays need to be in their own scenery folder (containing a subfolder "Earth nav data") prioritized right above the zOrtho_* folders.

I have also been struggling with Ortho4XP with the problem of missing autogen buildings, roads and objects. The program is not generating the Ortho4XP_Overlays file. I am using version 1.30. The tiles are generated and look good. I have all the boxes check on the Batch File process. I point my base folder set to my Ortho4XP directory (D:/Ortho4XP/Ortho4XP_CA (my California scenery).  On the settings panel the custom_scenery_dir is D:/Ortho4XP/Ortho4XP_CA (where I put my California scenery - I use shortcuts in X-Plane custom scenery folder). The custom_overlay_src is set to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/X-Plane 11/Global Scenery/X-Plane 11 Global Scenery (where my Steam X-Plane 11 is installed). In my scenery_packs.ini my ortho's are just above zzz_hd_global_scenery4 and just below Global Airports. Everything else is above it. I'm certain my ortho tiles are not overlaying other scenery. I deleted the program and re-installed it to get rid of any config files that might be causing the problem. It made no difference.

I have posted the problem on the X-Plane forum, but it keeps getting buried under hundreds of other posts and I have not gotten any answers or suggestions from them. I am really hoping someone can help me.

It looks like you are missing the Overlays directory.  See this link and look at how the poster set up his directories - https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/179125-installing-custom-airport-scenery/
