Landing is around 13-14 min into the vid

A nice cockpit, Gerard!

I'm impressed.

It's mostly the smaller objects...light poles, etc.  I'm running 3.3 (I think you are as well).  It's like there's z-fighting or something...textures can't decide which ones are in front.

Hmm...haven't thought of that but will keep my eyes open for it next time I fly into EKCH.

I'm on P3Dv3.2, not sure if that could make a difference.

Landing is around 13-14 min into the vid ...

Now here's one who doesn't need any VR glasses

Nice landing? He touched down just short of the start of the displaced threshold arrows!! In other words, not on the runway....

Thanks guys.

Really amazing airport built with the latest technics.

Regarding the landing , Chris is right. Tomorrow I will beta test some landings on all runways.

The GS guided me to that point...

Will also check the Afcad files.

Normally at 200-500 ft I disengage the AP and then manually land the aircraft and aim for a touchdown at + - 1/3 of the runway.

I know I was being sarcastic about the landing guys it was soft touchdown though

I had to lower a lot of settings for that airport hard on VAS but I got a lot of add ons as well

Lol I know that I was being sarcastic

Did a flight from EGSS to new FlyTampa EHAM yesterday with the Aerosoft airbus. Approx. 1.3 GB remaining of VAS. I installed the low resolution (1024) textures available from the installer at the FlyTampa forum. That was with P3D v3.3.5

Regards,

Chris

Nice, waited a long time for this... Will buy it immediately today after work and take the 777 from there to TNCM (waiting for the 747, looking at YOU, PMDG)!

The low 1024 textures, do they affect the whole scenery,ie. buildings, ground textures, Amsterdam city, autogen etc and how much different are they compared to the hires textures? Would really like to see pictures of the same place, with hires textures and with low res textures.

I learned in some other thread that the texture size only affects VRAM usage, but not VAS.

Is this not the case? :)

Noticed you can buy this scenery directly from FT or from SimMarket. At FT the price is 28 euros and over at SimMarket the price is 35 euros.

I understand SimMarket wants to make money but 7 euros on top of the original price seems a lot to me so I wonder is it me missing something...?

Flytampa price of 28 is without VAT, once that was added at the checkout it came to same amount as the Simmarket price for me in the UK. I bought from flytampa to give them more of my cash but also it was only just released so wasn't on sale at simmarket when I bought it on Sunday.

For me it shows on both sites 28€.

Tax is then added during checkout....

Ah, got it.

I'm used to see some info like 'Please observe these prices do not include any local taxes' or something like that and didn't see that on FT's site but just tried proceeding to next step and then the tax was added and the price ended up at the same level as over at SimMarket.

Pretty obvious that v3.3.5 is the most stable and VAS-reliable version of P3D ever made. I'm killing myself every day for not keeping 3.3.5 installers and I still appreciate if someone guide me (whether it's official or not) how to get them. V3.4 is a VAS beast in all aspects. Hope that HF2.0 LM promised would ease the pain.
