Hi all-

I have about $620 to spend to upgrade my PC for BOTH FSX and P3D. As of now I have and i5 4690k overclocked to 4.0ghz with a cooler master hyper 212 Evo. I have 8gb of DDR3-1600mhz RAM, and no GPU. My first priority is to get a GPU (looking at the GTX 1060 6gb) which will cost around $250. I was thinking of upgrading to a i5 6600k, get a new mobo, and DDR4 RAM but I am not sure the CPU upgrade is worth it and if i should just invest more into a graphics card and better cooler.

Thanks!

-Kyle

Your CPU is fine.  I'd get a 1070 instead and forget about the CPU etc

What he said. A GTX 1070 is about $400. Your CPU should get you through another good year or two. However, you should consider upgrading your CPU cooler. Like you, I have the Hyper 212 EVO and, while I do like it, am upgrading to a Noctua NH-15S, which is probably the best $80 you can spend. It performs on par with (and even better than) many liquid coolers, and you can still use it when you do eventually upgrade your CPU.
