Just flew AeroFly FS-2 OMG!

I basically agree with Murmur's point, as well as other posts like those by HiFlyer.

And I myself identified the true potential of AEFS2 when I installed it on my PC as being that of the realism of the environment around me, the smoothest and yet, also some aircraft system that can effectively be used even for IFR, and sufficient for anyone even willing to learn IFR.

And as an Early version we can / should expect it to get even better.

Well, one of the Tutorials has arrived! Now just have to brush up on my German......

But this labeling that a "true" or "serious" simulations should only be the one focusing on complex systems modeling, I find it ridiculous.

Me too.

Insanely wierd to fly over San Fran with smoothness and seemingly vg fps and crazy good ground detail.  I figure add road traffic (another vector layer)  5fps but I don't have a problem with the static traffic., ATC and traffic 20-40fps.

I won't fly it every day but will check in to compare scenery to other sims.

If they are able to port the Garmin 750 to the API then it should be a good one.

Cheers

Some nice and interesting replies.

Ok  interesting  thread  to read,  so all  you guys  with the  4  sims on your pc  how  do you find  the  time   to fly  each one  of  them,  unless  you on it  24/7   sounds  like  most of  you  are:)

For me it means just fly what I'm in the mood for.

Four sims? I've got FS 2002, FS 2004, FSX, FSX:SE, P3Dv1, P3Dv2, P3Dv3, Aerofly FS 2, DCS, War Thunder, Outerra, Il-2 and X-Plane 11...

Admittedly I never "fly" in FS 2002 or P3Dv1, but the others are all active. If I could have 4-5 installs of P3Dv3 I'd get rid of the other FSX and P3D versions, but sadly you can't.

How do I find the time? I've gone from working 60 hours a week to 30, so now I can just enjoy myself whenever the kids and the wife aren't nagging. I don't play other games (that might change) or watch TV. I usually focus one one "project" at a time (learn to fly a specific aircraft, visit all the capitals of a region, reflying historical flights/missions, completing a campaign, make a few airport sceneries etc.). I probably spend 5-10 hours a week simming during the winter - and zero time behind the computer in the summer when I head for the woods and live off the grid and try to get some real flying done.

LOL Wow, nice line up!  So you actually have them all installed...!!! I reinstall my entire PC/OS at least twice a year: I guess that is also a reason why I only have my 'current' sims installed.

Anyway, I myself usually only fly one sim. I am a one sim guy. Don't know why, really, but that's just how it is. I think that if I fly various sims all the time I only see the negative differences and not simply enjoy what I've got. Can't help it. I only fly another sim to check it out and test it, like I flew AFS2 last week. However, I had some computer problems last weekend and currently I only have XP installed (or better said: after the problems XP kept on working flawlessly due to its mobile nature, which is a GREAT feature!) so the choice is easy now.  However, apart from all this I can imagine that this may change in the near future, with all these sims available, and that I might use one sim for airliners and another for GA or something like that.

Honestly I have Xplane 10, Xplane 11, FS9, DCS, Rise of Flight, Wings of Prey, Aerofly 1, Aerofly 2, Outerra,  Flight School, Lock on, War Thunder, Microsoft Flight.....

I switch as the mood hits me, or if I want to compare/test.

FSX:SE ( again since this morning - will buy the FSLabs A32x this week  ) and ELITE v9... DCS and IL.2 uninstalled ( because only of being really someone who hates War, and everytime I see myself spending hours in front of the PC playing dogfights, I get irritated... )

Will try to get the best out of my A2A fleet which, in terms of systems modeling goes deeper in some aspects than either DCS or IL.2. But flight dynamics wise, DCS and IL.2 are the best I have exprienced.

AEFS2 under scan, ready to be installed as soon as I upgrade my SSD this year...

Well, there isn't much to see in it but the fact he used the autothrottle to reduce speed, Vor LOC to intercept the ILS beam and then APP mode to follow the glide scope :)

As far as i could see at least!

I have been enjoying a few practice landing approaches this morning in the Learjet 45 at airports in the SE area of the South Western USA region, and........the runway approaches at Grand Canyon West are awesome :shok: The immense size of the Grand Canyon can really be appreciated here. I need to take a trip down the full length of this geological masterpiece....
