Well, there isn't much to see in it but the fact he used the autothrottle to reduce speed, Vor LOC to intercept the ILS beam and then APP mode to follow the glide scope :)

As far as i could see at least!

Yeah, its just me laughing because I thought the video was either supposed to be in English or alternately, have English subtitles. It seems all the good instructional vids are in some other language.

I have been enjoying a few practice landing approaches this morning in the Learjet 45 at airports in the SE area of the South Western USA region, and........the runway approaches at Grand Canyon West are awesome :shok: The immense size of the Grand Canyon can really be appreciated here. I need to take a trip down the full length of this geological masterpiece....

You should see what it looks like in VR.............!

Not at this time, unfortunately. Here is the reply from Jan at Ipacs, quite a while ago. And the sim is even larger, now!

While I do prefer DVD versions over steam versions, keep in mind that 31Gb it wouldn't fit on one DVD. You would have probably at least 5 DVDs to install... And if an the sim is updated you would still need to download the update. The current early access phase will probably cause couple of major updates in the next time. Steam is way more user-friendly in that regard. Maybe a boxed version will be available when the full release is due.

FSX:SE ( again since this morning - will buy the FSLabs A32x this week  ) and ELITE v9... DCS and IL.2 uninstalled ( because only of being really someone who hates War, and everytime I see myself spending hours in front of the PC playing dogfights, I get irritated... )

I'm the opposite.  I paid to laser dogfight in Marchetti SF260's. My Van's RV was painted in war machine paint scheme. I've had numerous friends over the years who've owned & re-built WWII aircraft. I reload ammunition by the thousands, and practice regularly.  Archery too.  IMO, he/she with the best training & tools, wins!   Perhaps it's because my childhood was shortly after WWII, and I went on my trips with my father to the airport. He owned a war surplus training BT-13 when I was a young kid.

Still no current combat sims on my computer, though. Just no time, at the present.

I had that same excitement until I fired it in the Vive, its only playable in low settings, and like that almost no auto gen, just flat poor textures. P3d or X-plane perform way better with higher settings with flyiniside and with all the goods things that we want in a world simulator, for me was a dissapointment in VR.

I enjoy all my sims but lately thanks to mr jcomm every sims puts me off against DCS , i never do combat in DCS just connect to the aerobatics server and enjoy the dynamics and the immersion. But for civil flights it's Xplane.

So only DCS / Xplane installed.  And don't have Aerofly nor P3d , and don't intend on getting them maybe in a year or so Aerofly . But whatever suits one's sensation of being there.

Isn't that the whole point? There's a sim for everyone. Planes, trains, goats, combat, racing........etc. One might be more popular than another but that doesn't make it any better.  Whichever one works for you is the one you prefer. Everybody wins until someone starts saying that "their" sim is "better".

Is there an online user manual that shippes with it?

Uhm... Your post surprises me. Almost everybody here is raving about the very high FPS they get in AeroflyFS 2, even with a lot of buildings. How come this discrepancy?

Since AeroFly FS2 reminds me of the Flight Unlimited series, I would love to see a detailed Beechjet 400A developed for it. That was my favourite aircraft in FU3, and I never got bored of flying it around the limited number of airports and airfields in those two high resolution scenery regions (Seattle and San Francisco). This convinces me that I could quite easily do the same with AeroFly FS2 if it had a decent ATC system, realistic AI planes, accurately placed autogen, and extra detail at some of the airports and airfields (more customised buildings, ground markings and general clutter). The resolution and quality of the photoscenery and mesh (from what I have seen in my very limited check of the South Western USA region) is already extremely good.

I had another go at a few landing approaches in the Grand Canyon area, but this time just after sunrise. All I can say after seeing the lighting effects is that this area must look absolutely awesome with VR.

Exactly what drove me to buy aerofly, those same reviews claiming a good performance, but was not my experience, a lot of jittering that was only dissipated in low options, one think as to be said, this was before valve released the asynchronous reprojection option for steam VR, and this function was the big secret for the success of flyinside and makes all the difference, because is impossible to maintain 90fps with any graphics in the market with those resolutions in any flight simulator. I cant claim now that is not better, because i refunded the game.

Smoothest flight model on the market @4k - all other settings at ultra.  SLI seems to be working.  Nothing compares to the flight model and has the feel of actually controlling an airplane.  Add in some major stuff like ATC / AI / Wx and lets see what this puppy can do.

Cheers
