Is anyone using a GTX1070 with a 4K monitor? I know, a 1080 would be better, but that's like anything. What I want to know if anyone is enjoying this combination and whether they are happy with the performance, or if they wish they had invested in a 1080. Cheers fellas.

Thanks fellas. That is good news Erich. From what I've nread the 980ti and 1070 are on par with each other for performance. I may well save my hard earned money then and stick with the 1070.

That would be wise, yes.  Not much bang for the significantly extra bucks you'll be handing over for the 1080

I have a 1070 and run a 40" Samsung 4k TV and a regular 24" monitor off it. Works just fine with P3D.

At the time I bought it the 1080 was almost double the cost of the 1070 and the increase in performance was not worth the cost to me.

Only advice is if you are upgrading make sure your power supply can handle it in terms of watts and that is has the right power connectors for it. Also it is big so make sure you have the space to fit it in your tower.

Correct the benchmarks between the 980ti and 1070 are very similar between the two. However the 1000 series has the newer Pascal chip set. There is no point upgrading from a 980ti to 1070.

All good news for me then! I have already bought an MSI Armor 1070, but overnight, you know what it's like, I was wondering if I had made the right decision. It should be with me at the end of the week, so I will then continue trying to get P3D to work!

I have a 980Ti and it runs glassy smooth, but when the 1080Ti comes out.... I am very very tempted. The EVGA one of course.

Hiya, I have still to buy one. Once I have the funds I will probably buy this one which was recommended by Rich Sennett in an earlier post of mine...
