Ok, I haven't got into fuel system management yet.  Is it because there's a 'ton' of fuel still in the wings while the inboard has much less and the center is empty?

Robert, any chance we will see the heat haze from the jet engine exhaust as an effect in this version of the 747?

Yes; you've not gone "tank to engine" by turning off the over ride pumps and closed the cross feed valves.

 

You've also not got the main pumps on either.
