fsx not working

hi when i try to start my fsx a message says it is not working and closes the program. the problem started when I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10

yes it was working before. i ran the service pak 1 and 2 after that i had the problem it is fsx gold edition

What do you mean by not working? Does it say 'A fatal error occured' or something?

Please send a screenshot of it.

it says a problem has caused micro fsx to stop working. how do I send a screenshot of it

Not really clear what you did, and what worked.. and when.

 

You upgraded from windows 7 to 10.  Fresh install / Upgrade in place?

 

Did you reinstall FSX?

 

You installed SP1, why?  You installed SP2..

 

At each of these steps, did you see if FSX worked OK?

FSX Gold Edition (3 Discs) does not require SP1/2 to be installed. Doing so has

probably caused your problem.

I upgraded to windows 10 2 months ago. fsx still ran after. it was after I ran sp1 and sp2 the problem started. I did not reinstall fsx after the upgrade to windows 10.  I installed fsx with the 3  discs. can I uninstall it now,

I would try first to uninstall SP2 and then SP1.

 

Then try a "repair" on FSX using your disks.

 

If all that fails, uninstall FSX, and re-install it.

Windows Control Panel,  Programs,  find the program,  right click,  Uninstall

If you have the FSX Gold Edition, SP1 and SP2 are included (well SP2 is actually Acceleration).

Hey guys. Nothing worked so I have uninstalled fsx. I want to reinstall now but my dvd tray will not come out so I cant use the discs. Is there another way I can reinstall fsx

Buy the Steam edition.  It is via download.
