Chase Plane 1.5 with TIR support is out!

Recommended Posts

(In Preferences) enable the 'Experimental versions (Restart required) button. On restart CP will update itself to the new version.

Hi David,

You are correct. However, once my CP updated to 1.5 the ability to pan using the middle mouse button disappeared. Tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked so ended up turning off 'Experimental' and after a few restarts got back to 0.91 Alpha or whatever it is - not at my PC right now to check. Panning seems okay now but unable to change Zoom/eyepoint using the +/- or CTRL + Enter/Backspace keys. There may well be other ways of doing this, but feel I have much to learn (confession: I have not read the manual yet!) about the workings of this potentially great addon. At the rate we have been receiving updates I am sure it won't be too long before we receive a stable fully featured product.

Regards,

Mike

.... There is a manual for it Mike?  Nah! Where's your sense of adventure? Roll your sleeves up, grab a few spanners, dive right in and prepare to be amazed by it!!    I know that I am. :drinks:

[Edit]  on second thoughts - I think that you are probably correct about reading the manual. There is an absolute wealth of possibilities with this thing. The 'Follow Horizon' feature alone was worth the admission fee!!

Regards,

David

Hi Mike,

I would recommend visiting their designated support forum here on avsim. Keven is great with quick follow up. My update is working without any issues.

Hi David,

Picture this browbeaten apology for a flight simmer who is hanging his head in shame 😩

Yes, a 'user manual' does exist, but it is still undergoing construction:

http://www.avsim.com/topic/497403-user-manual/

Edit: Quote from the opening paragraph: "It has been said many times that ChasePlane Alpha 1 does not contain a User Manual. This is a good experiment for a release of this type (Alpha). Feedback is valuable and seeing people go and find their way into the application by themselves really forces their criticism."

Darn, no excuse now!

Cheers!

Mike 🍺🍺

That makes two of us who are lost in the wilderness then Mike. We should start a Home for bewildered users!!  :help:      With the advent of Envtex, PTA, TEP, CP et.al., this is rapidly becoming a full-time job! Wonderful times ahead!!

Regards,

David

Anyone upgraded from OpusFSI to Chase Plane? What are your thoughts? I don't use TIR. Thanks!

Hi Zoran,

Prepar3D or FSX? Thanks for the heads up - I missed that. I'm scampering over right now to see what's happening.

Mike

Why are you advertising Chase Plane on a P3D forum?

Announcing the release of a new product or an update to a product is not advertising here at AVSIM.  Just want to make that clear.

Happy New Year to all!

Jim
