Am I selfish in saying the end of year sales for 2016 were very underwhelming?

Maybe there will be a 'Start of the year' sale, or a 'Quarter the way through the year' sale and so on.  So with a little bit of luck you'll never have to pay the full price for anything.

Did you look in the Bargain Hunter's Forum?  There have been many sales running and some are still active.

I wouldn't say "selfish" is the word, maybe rather you just don't know how to look..? There were LOTS of excellent deals...

I have been a long time lurker I would say back to 2003, I had a previous long forgotten account with 0 posts also. A bit selfish really, but I feel I genuinely don't have anything to add to the community....I just sit back and soak up the information.

 

I didn't consider the nature of my post to be "flamatory" but looking back I suppose I can see how others may perceive it to be. I genuinely look forward to the end of year sales, I check the bargain hunters forum daily.

 

I guess I wanted to see if I missed something......I think the only sale I missed was the A2A flash sale which occurred overnight Australian time.

To be honest, I was hoping for larger sale from FlyTampa.  They did have Montreal and Sidney on sale for a short time over Thanksgiving.  Otherwise the sales, were, to me, quite good in regards to airports and weather apps.  Carenado had their usual sale as well.

This was the first year I didn't purchase anything. I have been hoarding for years and probably more then enough for FSX, I will wait and see what 2017 has in store for new Sims as building on that old hoard is wasting money at this point

New releases have been slow for the past few months and I think many folks are in a holding pattern looking to see what Prepar3d 64 bit and some still holding on to the dream of the second coming of FSX from DTG. Probably will be a bit slow for some time to come. Add to that the word from Microsoft getting a gaming version of Windows 10 ready for market. I am not sure what the Chinese Calendar says but I think 2017 is going to be the Year of the Sim. We all love a good deal but for the near future, I would put the wife and children on a diet. You are going to need some extra money!! LOL
