where are control settings saved?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me where P3D 3.4 saves my control settings (joystick and keyboard assignments etc). I would like to copy this file to a new P3D installation.

Thanks!

When you've done all your button assignments you can save them with the 'export controls' button. This will create an xml file which you can import in a fresh Prepar3D installation.

Bert is correct , the file is saved in C:\Users\yourID\Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files as an .xml with your chosen name.

If you ever run into the occasional problem of P3D changing your control settings back to default, by going to the above file mentioned and making it "read only" in windows, that solves that problem.
