Seasonal textures for X-Plane

Recommended Posts

I thought that Einstein's package was not working with XP11, see the last comment on the org.

That does like quite nice indeed. Although the green trees look a bit odd, of course... But is a nice option to have whenever you get tired of those summer textures!

I have not added the trees yet. I did not want to "download" all sceneries and overload the server.

installed the snow files according to the instructions (I think) but I'm getting this error message in XP11.  I don't have "soil" folder in the location noted although I downloaded and installed twice.

I think you didn`t copy the folders loveg, soil and human to \Custom Scenery\Seasonal Snow N\textures10.

That seems to be it.  So, I need to copy those from the Seasonal Fall N\textures 10 folder, right?  That seems to fix it - thanks!

For fall textures, you have to copy the folders to \Custom Scenery\Seasonal Fall N\textures10

Right - they are in the fall folder OK.  But, I needed to copy loveg, human and soil from fall to the snow folder and it seems to be working OK now.  Snow in Duluth, MN (as it should be) - very nice!

My experience with XP11:

all those dataref seasons work for me (including Einsteins trees) but it requires several restarts before the correct season shows up.

(I did some tests, and one time I got automn trees in spring time, then spring time trees in winter).

Then after a few restarts, everything shows up as expected, and flying in winter with default XP11 haze is stunning.

Thanks for the feedback. I've set XP to match the time and season and so far no issues.

I download all files and none of them has "Seasonal Winter N" instead I have "Seasonal Snow N". Do I have to create \Seasonal Winter N\textures10\ ? Very confusing instructions..

I did delete all files, so i can only guess.

First unzip part 1, which gives you the main folder. After that you have to unzip into the main folder\textures10\.

Main folder for fall is SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasonal Fall N/So copy human, loveg etc. into Custom Scenery/Seasonal Fall N/ textures10

I hope i remember it correctly.

Important order:

SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasons_N_Autumn/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasons_N_Spring/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasons_N_Winter1/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasons_N_Winter2/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasons_S_Autumn/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasons_S_Winter/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasonal Snow ND/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasonal Snow N/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Seasonal Fall N/

Just curious - why did you delete them all?
