Solved - How to get VideoMarshaller to work in P3D v3.4

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone.

In a different thread I've found how you purchase FS2CREW and get it working in v3.4 of P3D  (remember to look at the v2 information as the joystick key assignments changed between v1 and v2 of FS2CREW)

To get the VideoMarshaller going is also quite easy... The solution is :-

1. Copy the FSVM gauge file (from your FSVideoMarshaller\gauge directory) to the root gauges folder in the P3D V3 folder

2. Copy the whole FSVideoMarshaller directory to P3D (so it becomes a sub-directory in P3D) - or you can MKLINK if you know what I mean

3. Now the trick.... go to your P3D directory.. and using notepad or any other tool.. create a file called FSX.EXE (doesn't have to be a program.. can be an empty file !). The videoMarshaller guage is checking for an FSX.EXE followed by FS9.exe in the P3D directory and this little trick fools it into finding what it needs to know...

You should now find when you use P3D the video marshaller also now works..

Cheers

Gary
