FMC causes FSX Key Assignments unworkable.

Recommended Posts

FMC: I enter Pos...then Company Route, but then all FSX Key Assignments unworkable thereafter---even Shift 3 doesn't close FMC.

The Joystick Hat does move view, though.

Setup:

* Windows 7

* FSX Steam

* PMDG 737800 winglets - C&D

After I switch on...

* Battery

* Align

* APU

* Shift 3 to bring up FMC

Is this a FSUIPC conflict? I did dump the FSUIPC4 .ini file as suggested in Intro manual.

Hi Doug,

Forgive me for possibly stating the obvious, but is it possible the FMC keyboard entry mode is still on?  If it is you should see a green horizontal rectangle on the bottom of the CDU screen on which you have activated the keyboard.

Eureka!!! Thanks, Mike, for your 'obvious' insight!!

You're welcome.  Your situation sounded only-too-familiar when I type into the CDU screen and then - duh - can't figure out why other keystrokes don't respond.
