Big Tin Payware options for XP11? Aka 737+/A320 etc.. Fspassengers equiv?

Recommended Posts

I cannot fully recommend CRJ200. FMS mode does not capture in XP11 for most people due to apparent incompatibility with some common plug ins. It's a nice plane otherwise. IXEG 737 Is awesome. I find it better than the PMDG 737 in some ways. Very immersive textures and sound. I've had some rare crashes in XP11, but, once the APU is turned on in PlaneMaker, it works great.

Does the CRJ200 FMS work correctly in XP10? If so, can we expect them to address this XP11 in a reasonable time frame? I enjoy the smaller tubes (737, 319/320) and regional size over the larger heavies but only interested in best-in-class offerings. (My FSX/P3D hanger is replete with compromise purchases - a mistake I'd like to avoid in XP. :Shame On You: )

It works just fine for me in XP10, in fact it's one of my favorite planes to fly in any platform despite its age. I'm assuming the problems are because XP11 is beta and therefore a 'moving target' for developers, so I expect the CRJ to be fully compatible once the final, stable version is released.

Just to follow up a bit here..

I guess if you buy the A320 NEO (JAR), they give you the XP11 version free (no $40 up charge) later, anything past october purchase wise that is (from 2016), according to what i read..

On the subject of the smaller CRJ2000.. is this the designer/model everyone is talking about?

Since I already have the larger 767-300 (looking forward to learning that on a realistic scale, havent toyed much with anything above GA aside from plug and chug in the past)..

I guess a smaller one is in order.. i'm thinking the IXEG 737 classic.. my original notes on post#1 i wrote that it didnt have auto landing ability, but this is not true right?  It can do that?  What does it not have that the "newer" 757/767 etc have in terms of avionics?

I guess we could add an A330 to this list.. (Jardesign -243 vs Rwdesign -300?)...  and/or maybe an A350.  I guess according to what i read the Rwdesign for the 300, is easy to get in the air quickly without realistic prep work.. of these two and all the others mentioned in this thread.. are there any others that can do both.. ie: have a choice for fast start, or "realistic" prep/start..

At this point i have, but havent dived in yet.. the IXEG 737 and the FF 767.. hoping maybe this weekend to start checking these out in deeper detail.

i would not add the a350 at this moment.

basically it does not have sid/star implementation. it does show promise regarding touchscreen implentation and model, but its the odd child of FF.  It was supposed to get the extended version with fmc fully sid/star compatible but it disapeared completley. My understanding was even that early supporters where supposed to get that upgrade for free. However with the recent V2 craze FF seem to like, i fully expect them to release the extended in a v2 package as an hefty upgrade. so at the moment i would wait until you hear a word from them regarding the xp11 situation.

the a330 is similar than the a320 system/fmc wise. (Jar tends to port improvements he makes in models back in older models. which is something i find great. so in general systemswise all planes are rather similar) the model is more refined and detailed imho but that is probably just due to it being released later.  again i think his planes are a real good value when on sale, but at full price i think you should know about its limitations.

For those interested in JRollon's CRJ-200, I have it along with the sound expansion pack and if you are on XP11b you should wait until v2 of the CRJ is released.

I'm not sure if v2 will be a paid update. I hope that it isn't, because v 1.7 has some bugs that need to be fixed before I take it out of the hangar.

Good info! Thanks for the heads-up.

Bump. The VMAX Boeing 767-300 ER Professional is on sale this weekend at the xplane org store and has apparently been updated for XP11. I've asked this on the xplane.org forum but since I often get better responses over here, I figured I'd ask if anyone has this version and if it's full integrated and functional. In particular,  how's the FMC? Cheers!
