X-Plane 11

Recommended Posts

X-Plane 11 is out, and with Microsoft no longer developing the FS platform; do you have any plans to make the products available for X-Plane?  X-Plane seems to be the future now and they have really stepped up the game!!!

Oh nice!  I would love to see the 777 and 737 work on X-Pane, I would switch from FSX to X-Plane in a heart beat!

The DC-6 doesn't disappoint, she's a real beauty.

Looking forward to their next release.

Why is now X-Plane the future. Wait till P3D 64 bit and then decide the 'future' (the future can have more than one platform)

Gents,

please don't let this thread devolve into a debate over "which platform is best."

The best platform for each of you, is whatever platform works best for you.

There is no other point to the discussion.

Thank.

Sorry Robert, I just don't like the narrow mindless of only one sim can be the future, when clearly there are others.

X-plane isn't the future, it's the now. P3D might be the future but the last 6 years have been a long wait for something to happen.

I agree with everyone.  There are many great futures in the FS world, X-Pane seems to be stepping up the game and putting out a program that is a real competiter.  I was just wondering if there are any plans to make all of the wonderful PMDG products X-Pane compatable.

I understood that they were planning to bring them over. However, no idea on the timeline.

Was rumors about the 747 would come to xp. But can PMDG say anything about XP and future releases?

I suspect we will need to wait for a stable release of XP11, then the DC-6 will need to be updated, tested and released for XP11. Some time beyond that, I guess we'll hear which of the big 3 airliners will be the first one to come across to XP. It remains to be seen how many people actually switch from XP10 to XP11 - the system requirements are not exactly modest and some people might try the XP11 demo and conclude their hardware isn't up to it (I haven't tried it yet myself so I can't comment). So, PMDG might end up needing to support XP10 and XP11.
