Best budget pc for FSX/P3D/XPlane11?

Recommended Posts

I'd try a 6600K, GTX 1060 and 16 gb ddr3 ram (XP11). You could put a GTX 1050 ti in but make sure it's the 4GB card. Then you'll need a medium quality motherboard- I'll let others chime in.

You could go lower specs but it wouldn't run addons very well

You'd need an aftermarket cooler for overclock.

Don't think he'll get all sims on a 240 GB with addons

But yeah that's probably an alright system. Expect to turn down settings, especially in XP11

AMD video cards are great for Prepar3d or FSX, but don't buy one if you want to run XP10 or XP11. I learned the hard way.

They are great cards for the money, but Laminar can't get X-Plane running properly for unknown reasons.

If this is now, or is going to be, your main hobby, one that will consume many hours of your time, as it does for many of us on this Forum, then I suggest that you think of a PC as an investment in yourself, and get a better rig for a little more money (or as I did, a whole lot of money).
