FsAerodata

A post on Flight 1's website is in order I think! Good idea...although the default GPS units already can show this updated data in P3D...

Default GPS and derivatives have ugly displays and very limited functionality.

Indeed, and one major limitation is that you can't edit flight plans unless you do it via a flight planner and re-import/load the plan.

However...a couple of years ago I purchased FSD's GLV2000 GPS. I never used it much, but it did have much more functionality than the default GPS, and if I remember correctly, the ability to alter flight plans on the ...er...fly. It also supported VNAV and, I think, LPV/WAAS.

I may try FSAerodata this weekend and see how well the two play together. For someone who hasn't invested in RXP or F1 GTN (like me) and isn't too worried about VC integration, this a useful and inexpensive add-on (currently on sale at $13.77).

EagleSoft has many great propeller planes with default GPS. Now they can all become functional. There are good propeller ones from Carinado as well. Makes me thinking of getting some of those that I never thought of before because of the default GPS..

Hi Holdit,

You say :(Update: Forgot to add a link: http://www.fsd-international.com/Hangar/GLV2000/ )

Does this tool (GLV2000) work on P3D V4? They say P3D, but V4? Yes or No?

Patrice.
