Me and my girlfriend in our 737...

Recommended Posts

Figured I'd tweak the textures on the iFly 737 NG so it's me and my girlfriend Fiona flying it lol. I expect she'll slap me if I point out that the Captain sits on the left. :-)

Actually she probably is, although she prefers horses and tanks to aeroplanes. She is mental (but in a good way) :-) Besides, since I help her muck out her horse on a regular basis, and it's bloody freezing where the stable is, it's only fair that she should endure my obsession with aeroplanes lol

Very cool.  What tool(s) did you use to edit the textures?

LOL great idea. I should try that, it would be the only way I'd ever see myself in a 737 cockpit.

I was lazy and just used the freebie program Paint.net, since it opens and saves the DDS files no problem. I do have Photoshop, since I am an Adobe Certified Trainer, so that means I spend all day showing people how to use all the Adobe programs (i.e was teaching After Effects today). But that means the last thing I wanna do if I can avoid it, is come home and crank those Adobe programs up lol, especially when Paint.net does it just as well and loads faster. :-)

Lol, she does know incidentally, I stuck the pic on my FB page, so she's definitely seen it. I put a caption on it saying that it was me and her stealing a 737 during the recent zombie apocalypse. :-) She likes Zombie movies (so do I actually).

Thanks for the tip on Paint.net, Alan.  I'll check it out.

Any chance you could put a real pic of your girlfriend up here so we could see how close you got to a literal representation of her? :P

Terrible English and manners. The thread should be " My girlfriend and I in our 737" ;)

Quite right old chap. Engage plummy English mode... Here's one's girlfriend and oneself somewhat inebriated in a public house...

You appear to be channeling Tom Baker with the knitted scarf and hat! Perhaps you are in line to be the 13th Doctor? 😀 In any case, welcome back to the Avsim forums!
