Anyone know how to load a flight plan exported from pilot2atc into the x-plane 11 737 FMC?

Recommended Posts

I've exported a flight plan from pilot2atc into the xplane\output\fms plans directory.  I'm running the latest xplane 11 beta 9, and for the life of me i can't figure out how to load the flight plan into the DEFAULT 737-800 FMC.  I've searched the internet for hours, and have come up empty.

   Thanks,

   Joe

Gah, i figured it out.  This is serious user error.  In the FMC when you click on Route, there are two options, Pilot Route List and Co Route list.  I thought the Co Route List was the CoPilot Route list and that the options were the same in that menu so i never went there.  In the Co Route List the plans saved in the FMS Plans directory show up and let you select it.  @(*&%#*^%#^.  I wasted 2 days on this.

I'm having a problem doing this with the demo :( .... I can find the exported route in the default/zibo 737's FMC, but clicking it doesn't do anything, no route is added to the FMC, it just does nothing.

Here's a link to a PDF on using the XP11 FMS

http://x-plane.com/manuals/FMS_Manual.pdf

There's an option in Pilot2ATC to export the flight plans with or without the waypoints for procedures ( SIDs, STARs, and Approaches).  If exporting for use in an FMS that allows you to enter procedures based on AIRAC data, you would normally export without the procedure waypoints.

IF you created the flight plan by entering only the departure and destination airports and pressing Auto Plan in P2A, then you have no route waypoints and only the airports will be exported.  You then must enter the same SID, STAR and Approach in the FMS that you planned in P2A.

I have the same problem.  I have a bunch of .fms files in the proper folder (Xplane11/Output/FMS Plans) and they show up when Co Route is selected.  However none of them will load, even the example.fms file and the scratch pad always shows "Route not found".

What am I missing?  Thanks!
