Contact tower ?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I came back to VoxAtc 6.52, I must say that it's great pleasure to fly with it...

Now I would want fly without the VoxAtc windows, so I have a question concerning the frequency change from ground to tower.

When I am ready to take off after taxing to the runway, I noticed ground control don't say me to contact tower, the order is just writen in the Vox window with frequency and so...

Is it normal or I missed some feature ? Without Vox window am I supposed to change on my own initiative ?

Thanks and Regards,

Richard Portier

In real life you should not change frequencies until told to do so by the controller you are talking to. Also in real life the controler sometimes forgets about you. If this happens you can ask the controler permission to change frequency. This works in VOXATC, it is better in expert mode.

Crap! Didn't mean to have all those quotes. Damn iPhone.

Thanks a lot. You are right of course, I had not thought to ask the controler permission to change frequency  .

Curiously after landing tower give always the frequency to ground but not in the case ground>>>tower before take off (a glitch or it's me ?).
