Is this the best water I can expect?

Can anyone offer some advice to a new boy to P3D. I have at last managed to get good frames and get Vsync working properly. However, even with water quality set to maximum, I get rediculously dreadful looking water. I'm using REX essentials for water, sky and clouds. Help appreciated. Cheers.

Have you tried lowering HDR setting?

Looks as if something's quite wrong with the water textures. Did you try restoring the stock textures and see how they look?

EnvTex does a nice job on water.

PTA 2.0 has some settngs for modifing the appearance of water too.

Turn off Cloud shadows in water reflection, cost fps and not done well.

That's not how my max water setting looks like. I have REX 4 but I use the default P3D water animations and textures because I think it looks better quite frankly. Those waves are totally off-scale, too big and those clouds look like they are lit up by a very powerful spotlight.

Hi Dave, yup, only just got P3D! Loving it, if I can iron a few little niggles out.
