Preview broken, missing tutorial links

Recommended Posts

I must say The Queen is amazing. Just a couple of issues I have noticed, and was wondering if anyone is seeing them as well, otherwise I'll reinstall:

1) The nose never appears in the fsx aircraft preview screen. It just shows the back of the airplane, but the nose section is missing (the inside of the cabin is visible).

2) I can't click on the tutorial nor the introduction manuals from the ops center (have to manually find these files in windows explorer).

Anybody else seeing these small glitches, or is my install bad?

HI Alfredo,

Those items have been identified but here is the synopsis of how to address them

1) For missing Preload textures in FSX, Please add the following to the FSX.cfg under [MAIN] add "DisablePreload=0" and it should appear normally.

2)  The Tutorial and Introduction manuals not opening is being worked but you can open them by manually navigating to the Documents in the FSX/PMDG/747-400 Folder.

Hi Paul,

By having disable preload set to "1" (my preferred setting), is it only the preview image that is affected, or does it affect other elements of the 747 simulation in FSX. I haven't purchased the 747 yet but would like to know prior to any purchase.

Thanks very much.

Awesome, thanks for the reply Paul. Tim, yes, it is only the preview. The simulation is a beauty in fsx. Just took her up for a circuit at LFPG, and my jaw dropped.
