Password for manuals

Recommended Posts

Morning,

First of all thank you for the release of a fantastic product. I've been following this ever since it was announced, and it's everything I expected it to be.

However, I'm trying to print the Normal Procedures part of the 747-400_FCOM, but it's asking for a password? Are we unable to print these documents?

Kind Regards,

James Roberts

I believe that is correct. The FCOM is a copyrighted Boeing document. PMDG has a license from Boeing to distribute the FCOM in only digital form. It is restricted from being printable. You'll note that the documents which were created by PMDG themselves (The intro manual and the tutorial flight) CAN be printed.

I think this printing restriction also exists in the Boeing manuals that came with the 777, for the same reason.

That is correct. Due to license with Boeing. Same is for the 777.

I have put them on my IPAD and is much faster :)

These documents are copyrighted to Boeing and cannot be printed and distributed. PMDG are allowed from Boeing to redistribute these manuals only in digital form.
