Operations Centre Error

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just applied the latest Operations Centre update, and upon trying to download 777 liveries, I receive the following message:

'TLS 1.2 is disabled in your Windows installation.

Please enable in Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced tab for proper downloading of OC content.'

I have checked at the specified path, and TLS 1.2 is enabled.

Any ideas please?

Thanks,

Kevin L

Same here, with the update of OC I' not able to download any livery, regardless of the product ( 737, 777, 747).

TLS 1.2 is activated in all browsers.

I'd paste a direct link for you, but I'm at work and it doesn't allow me to paste links into IE...weird.

Google "enable TLS internet explorer" and that should sort you out.

Thanks for your response Kyle, but in internet explorer are TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 already ticked.

The 747 is installed as admin also the OC is executed as admin.

When I look at the version numbers of the addons, they are even displayed but I get also a "unable to determine the most recent version" message. So it seems there is generally no connection to the responsible  pmdg server.

re enable it when you will done.

Sadly this does also not work either.

Is there any possibility to delete OC and install it separately? Perhaps it's broken.

Program Files (x86)\PMDG Operations Center\

Delete everything in there EXCEPT the OC Updater.exe (or similar file name with "updater" in it). Run it as an admin.

...not sure if that'll work. If it's referencing a protocol like TLS, it's likely a security setting on your computer. If it were a code-side issue, it would have a wider effect. Worth a shot though, I guess.

I deleted everything (recycle bin) but the updater tells me the product is updated after executing it, despite there is nothing left in the folder.

Then I did a repair of the 747 to get the OC back, but same issue persists.

I don't know why my system suddenly blocks the connection with the pmdg server. This did always work in the past with NGX and 777.

Do a google search for instructions on finding your HOSTS file and then open it in Notepad. Are there any pmdg-related entries in there?

Finally I got it.

There was a certificate error on the pmdg download page in my internet explorer. Installing the certificate didn't help either but luckily I remembered that XP antispy is working in the background so I decided to deactivate it and the pmdg page wasn't blocked anymore.

Now I got the latest OC update and was able to download and install the liveries.

Thanks for your support and patience, Kyle.

Mine started working with no further action on my part.

Thanks Kyle! One of the reasons why PMDG is such a great company is this level of support.

Thanks,

Kevin L
