Intel chipset drivers solved micro stuttering issues

I was having micro stuttering issues on a new I7 7700K no matter what affinity I tried.

The drivers supplied with the motherboard don't seem to be enough.

Installing the Intel chipset drivers solved the problem.

Edit: the Intel Driver Update Utility didn't find any drivers to install so I installed them manually.

They rarely will be. You should always download the latest drivers and utilities from the manufacturers website.

So was it a new driver version? Or did you, in that case, simply re-download and reinstall the existing driver on your system?
