Totally unsuitable for Flight Sim I'm afraid. AMD CPUs and Radeon graphics are nowhere near as good as Intel and Nvidia.

Save your money and look at Scan at Bolton. They have custom-build PCs specifically for FS. I appreciate they're more expensive than Curry / PC World but light years ahead in power and quality.

With respect a £34 graphics card is not going to cut it with FSX. You really do need a minimum i5 but preferably an i7 to get acceptable performance. And a graphics card with a minimum of 1Gb and preferably 2-3Gb memory.

Although FSX is a 11 year-old program it's still heavily CPU dependent. If you buy that PC from Curry's you will be throwing your money away. Trust me.

What's your budget?

What Ray is saying is that the AMD processor in that machine is not really up to the job of running FSX/P3D.

You will not be happy with the performance unless you run FS2004

Sorry, probably not what you want to hear, but as Ray says, that is junk for flight sim.

I'm presuming they are giving you credit only to be used in currys/pc world, and not refunding you?  If so, I would be looking at this as a minimum http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/pc-specialist-vortex-core-gaming-pc-10146634-pdt.html

Still not ideal, but night and day from the one you posted

Are you able to add any funds to that £350? If not then lower your expectations as Glynn has said. FS2004 (FS9) is far less demanding and that spec will give you a far better performance than on FSX albeit one where scenery complexity will have to be lowered.

Okay, understood. It's a little annoying that Curry  / PC World will only give you a voucher and not cash. Do you know anyone who needs a new washing machine? You could exchange the vouchers for cash and go elsewhere.

Understood that you're using it for more than FS but any computer that can cope with FS can cope with just about anything else.
